Robert Schumann
To send light into the darkness of men's hearts - such is the duty of the artist.
Leonardo Da Vinci
Where the spirit does not work with the hand there is no art
What art offers is space - a certain breathing room for the spirit.
John Updike

Artists are not only creators, but healers as well. Healing is a co-creative process, a relationship between individuals involving conscious intention and unconditional love. Artistic expressions of all types (e.g., visual, vocal, musical, theatrical, literary) can create a healing bridge between souls. Art is a mirror that allows people to project their own conscious and unconscious thoughts and feelings. That is, your creations can provide people the opportunity to uncover hidden aspects of themselves. Combined with the process of conscious intention, your creative expressions can be a catalyst for bringing unconscious material into awareness and thus afford people the opportunity to re-collect, re-own and transform these hidden energies. Carl Jung calls this the process of individuation by which we heal ourselves by becoming whole.

As a creative and/or performing artist, learn to develop a deeper and more spiritual connection with the process and the manifestation of your craft. This experiential workshop employs time-tested methods of meditation and guided imagery as well as art exercises to deepen your understanding of yourself and your creative process.
